We lost a friend yesterday, our alligator pool. Gracie absolutely loved that pool as we have had it for two seasons, and this would have been it's third. He had a major blowout yesterday and man we were sad to see him go! I think Gracie grieved until we put this cool zebra pool in our shopping cart today! As soon as we got home, he got blown up and it was love at first slide!

Gracie is very girly girl, but she loves herself some bugs too! Her she is with a roley poley that she carried around for about forty five minutes letting it crawl on her and then she would make it roll up. She brought it in the house and I told her it could not be in the house. She took it out back and I could hear her say, "I miss you roley poley." So sweet! :o)

Gracie and I went grocery shopping today. While we were in the produce section Gracie sees the watermelons and is very, very excited! She is jumping up and down and shouting "watermelon mama, watermelon!" Before I know it she is carrying a little seedless one over to our cart. I guess she wants the watermelon. This is a shot of her enjoying her watermelon this evening as a night time snack! If this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will...

This is how I found two of the boys this morning. I guess I forgot to tell them they are supposed to sleep on the bed, not under the bed. I was also really happy about the popcorn all over the floor too! :o)

So the boys had a sleepover, say what on a Monday night? We are in the school district that has been affected by the swine flu! Now don't worry about us we are all feeling fine! And since our little friend played with our kids all weekend we figured no harm as we weren't exposing ourselves to anyone new! Who knows what we will do all week, but today we cleaned out the boys room, from the closet to the dresser drawers to the toy box! I guess it will be a good week for spring cleaning!

Troy and I are making dinner Sunday night and I glimpse out the window and there are my three sweet angels playing harmoniously with one another. Can I say hallelujah, amen. Thank heaven for moments like these! :o) This is shot through the kitchen window, screen and all, as I didn't want them to see me see them getting along cause the moment would have been gone!

The boys attended a sword seminar today. They had a great time, but we came home with two wooden training swords! I know what your thinking, two rambunctious boys with weapons. Now don't worry, we have very strict rules regarding the swords and if they are broken they go back to the karate school!

Tea anyone? How fun is it to have a girly girl? Just ask me, cause I'm loving it!

I was brave today, very brave! I watched my girlfriends little guy today so that she could go with her big guy on a field trip. Now don't be confused, he really isn't Spider Man, I know there is a great resemblance! Cam wears either Spider Man or Venom everyday, and I mean everyday. OK back to the brave part! Years ago I could do anything with two toddlers because I didn't have a choice, but now? I'm so used to just one and Gracie is already a little PIA (excuse the french) at the grocery store! So today I decided to give it a whirl! I did it, except we had one casualty :o( We lost a Spider Man today, the action figure kind!

The boys went to the eye doctor today. The doctor came out to let me know that the boys prescriptions had changed and that they both needed new glasses and to go on over and pick some out. I said to her that I didn't think I would be buying their eye wear in her fancy smancy store, but going somewhere where they are more reasonably priced. She told me that I might be surprised as they are competitive with the chain stores and that they have a two year warranty with theirs. I asked what the warranty covers. A one time replacement for manufacture defect. Really? Does she not see that I have two active boys who are really rough on their glasses, well Coop anyways! I guess she doesn't realize Coop has broken two pair of glasses already this year and we are only in the first quarter! Needless to say we went somewhere with a 2/$99 sale. Only way I can afford to keep Coop seeing! Here are the boys trying on glasses. Zak and his best Harry Potter impression and Coop just being silly looking at himself :o)

I couldn't pick one photo for today, so we have three :o)

Here is my sweet Zak so intent on building. He made this thing where the bottom part just spins and spins if there is nothing to stop it. Troy said it was some law in physics, but now I can't remember what it was. Oh well, just another day in paradise...

Troy's little helper, love this!

This cat is the best cat in the entire world! Roger is the sweetest, most loving cat that ever walked the earth. He is such a great and loyal snuggler! I love you Rog!

Gracie plays with these Leap Frog fridge letters everyday! She has learned her ABC's because of this toy and is starting to identify letters! Her favorite letter is 'M.' Way to go Gracie!

The kids in the backyard playing with neighbor kids, the slide and a hose! Probably not the best of combinations, but they sure did have a great time on their 'redneck water slide'! (I love this shot of Cooper with the water drops coming off his ears!)

I took pictures of sweet Maliya today! She is just so sweet and her mommy & daddy are so smitten with her, and I can't say I blame them, I'm pretty smitten with her too! She was so wide awake today! No sleeping shots of Maliya today, but we are going to try again soon!

My girlfriends took me out to Chili's tonight to celebrate my birthday. I love these girls and appreciate their friendship so very much! Thanks girly girls, I needed that! Oh and look at that chocolate cake/ice cream dessert! It was so yummy!

Today is tax day and we decided to take the kids with us to a tea party being held at the Alamo. This was a difficult decision for Troy and I but we decided it was a good lesson for our children to be exposed to. We were there to voice our disapproval of our current congress and the spending spree in Washington. To let our Senators and Representatives know we are dissatisfied with their actions, and to let President Obama know we don't agree with where he is taking our country. The lesson for our children was not our point of view, but to share with them their 1st amendment rights. To teach them they need to be knowledgeable and involved in their government! We love the USA and are so proud to be citizens of this great country and we want our children to know that they are part of the greatest nation on earth!

We also want to wish Grandma S. a very Happy Birthday! We miss you and love you very much! :o)

So this afternoon Coop and Gracie were playing out in the backyard after school. I was able to coax them to sit still for me for about two minutes each and I am oh so happy with the images I got of two of my babies! Oh and Coop broke his glasses again today at school! 2nd time this year :o(

Happy Easter!

So, not your typical Easter picture, but this one makes me giggle. Here is my husband at friends of ours watching the masters! He swears he wasn't sleeping despite the evidence! Silly, silly man! Oh, and Happy b-day to me! Another year gone!

We had a baby shower for our friends Jim and Laura today to welcome their new little (and I mean little, only 5lbs 2 oz) bundle of joy! She is absolutely precious! No one can get their fill of snuggling this sweet peanut! Even Coop and Gracie have to get in their snuggles! We love you Maliya!

The boys had off of school today for Good Friday. We wound down the evening with a little pit fire and some s'mores with friends! Mmm... I love roasted marshmallows!

Here is our baby Mojo. I walked in from the deck and there she is laying in Gracie's doll stroller. Gracie is usually unsuccessfully trying to put Mojo into the stroller to take her for a ride! Mojo will be one year old tomorrow! Can't believe we have had her almost a year already! Happy Birthday Mojo!

I sanded down and painted our paint peeling beat up bar stools today. I used some leftover outdoor paint we had in the garage. I'm pretty pleased with the way they turned out and they go nicely with our tiki bar.

Tripods definitely are multi purposeful! For instance, Gracie uses it for a microphone! She's a ROCK star you know! I catch her singing into the the tripod, I mean microphone all the time! She is just so stinkin' cute!

I absolutely love blueberry pancakes! We had breakfast for dinner tonight. Troy and Cooper like plain pancakes, Zak and Gracie like chocolate chip pancakes and I'm all alone with blueberry. I keep telling the kids that blueberries are brain food, guess I'll always be smarter than them ;o)

So today I got to meet up with three other ladies, whom I met on the Internet, that have a passion for photography like I do! So much fun to shoot and talk shop with them! Here is a cute one from the evening, my little Marilyn :o)

So the other day while Troy and I were working outside we needed sand for the pavers and my garden so we decided to get a whole truck load of sand and actually fill the sand box in the backyard. Gracie is absolutely thrilled with this! She has been out in the sandbox every moment that we have been home playing in the sand! I love it that sand has brought her such joy! The simple things :o)

This sweet little angel decided to arrive four weeks early! Our good friends Jim and Laura are the proud new parents to this precious little bundle of joy! I am so thankful that she is healthy and mama is doing well! Here she is just one hour old, so brand new and oh so perfect! We were supposed to have a baby shower on the 11th, but I guess we will be having a welcome to the family party instead. Now remember Mama, Auntie Jody can't wait to snuggle and love on your sweet baby girl! Congratulations Jim and Laura, I am so happy for you! And Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Holy smokes, it's April already! Where does the time go? I know I say this all the time, but really where does the time go? Today Troy was off and we decided to work outside. I worked in the front garden and Troy added two feet to the driveway using pavers. I divided plants, and yes I know I should have done that in the fall, but I never got to it, so they were divided today! I also bought a few other perennials to plant. I weeded and mixed sand into the soil. Now we just need a few hanging baskets, some annuals for the barrel in the driveway and mulch! Next week!
